Jennie and Chris Dore are thrilled to share their intimate home dining experience with you at the Peppermill Family Restaurant. The importance of family meals, gathering around the table, enjoying each other’s company and an intentional meal have been a cherished experience from a young age for both Jennie and Chris. These values are carried through with an attention to detail through the complete customer dining experience.
Jennie and Chris are a passionate young couple with a drive to bring it back to the roots of delicious quality food and welcoming service from the moment you walk in the door. Ingredients are thoughtfully chosen and sourced from local producers to bring the best product to the table at reasonable prices. Meals can be modified for personal preference and dietary needs.
The Peppermill Family restaurant was founded by John and Vicky Osakowicz in 1990, with an idea and a dream. When they moved to upstate New York with their three sons, they saw a need for an affordable family dining experience that offered quality homemade food. During their family vacations to the Lake George area, they were frustrated with the absence of a restaurant that catered to a family of five at an affordable price. This gap in the market led to the creation of the Peppermill Family restaurant.
John expressed to Vicky in the beginning, “If you treat the customers like you treat family and guests in our home, I’ll take care of the rest.” This pledge has been demonstrated for over three decades, and is truly recognized as a local’s favorite. The Peppermill is known for their loyal customer base with consistent, prompt, courteous service every time. We look forward to carrying these values forward.
